You've got to love it when a plan comes together. Right now it appears that Lance Mackey's plan to set a new record in the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race is coming together rather nicely. After resting for over 6 hours, Lance left the Eagle, Alaska checkpoint 10 minutes before his closest competitor even arrived.
Plans for filming the historical reenactment segments for the Weather Channel documentary of the Nome Serum Run also seem to be coming together rather nicely. We are able to borrow a few dogs, borrow appropriate gear, and have made arrangements for an excellent location in which to do the work. So far everyone involved, both canine and primate, seems very happy with the progress.
