Beau continues to recover from his adventure under the knife. He is drinking and eating freely, no vomiting. His kidneys are working normally and he's moving around much more comfortably. I'm very pleased with his progress.
Last night we went to Mike and Kim Green's annual Christmas Party. It was a great turnout, lots of Scots pipers and string musicians, lots of food, and lots of good friends gathered together. The turnout wasn't huge, but that should be expected during a race weekend. The Sheep Creek 150 has drawn several of our local mushers, so they and their entourages of handlers and helpers are all out of town.
Our plans for today include a training run for the healthy dogs. They've been stuck at home since Wednesday so I'm sure they'll be just delighted to be out on the trail again.
