“A good dog is so much a nobler beast than an indifferent man that one sometimes gladly exchanges the society of one for that of the other.” (William Francis Butler)

Torus in the House
This darned cold snap is persistent. This morning it was 35 below zero when I fed the team. In a cruel twist of fate the forecast is calling for above zero temperatures next week, while I'll be stuck at may place of employment and unable to take advantage of them (sigh)
When the temperatures are this cold most of my dogs are content to spend their time inside their dog houses, nestled on thick beds of clean straw and protected from the worst of the elements. Not ol' Torus, though.
Torus prefers to sleep outdoors, even in the most bitter of temperatures. No matter how attractive you try to make it, Torus does NOT sleep in his house. Instead he'll drag out the straw and build a nest out in the open.
The last couple of days I've had Torus inside, as the house dog. He seems to tolerate it well enough, even if the photo makes him look like a green-eyed monster.
